I am an accredited Psychotherapist /Counsellor with a specialism in relationship therapy. I work with a range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, panic attacks, stress, bereavement and anger management. My specialist area is issues affecting couples/relationships, including sexual difficulties of all kinds.
I have a Post-Graduate Diploma in the Theory and Practice of Psychotherapy for Sexual Dysfunction, and an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic-Integrative Counselling. I am registered as a Psychotherapist and Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP); accredited as a counsellor by the UK Association of Humanistic Psychology Practitioners (UKAHPP); and accredited as a Sexual and Relationship Psychotherapist with the British Association of Sexual and Relationship Therapy (BASRT).
In the past I have counselled couples at an NHS Psychosexual Clinic, young people at an inner London youth agency, and male offenders at a maximum security prison. I now work in private practice in mid-Bedfordshire.
I also like to write, and outside of my practice I undertake a variety of one-off and longer-term projects, working mostly as a writer, editor, trainer and event organiser. For example, I produced a set of 22 leaflets on the full range of sexual dysfunctions for the Porterbrook Clinic, Sheffield in June 2005 available here http://www.shsc.nhs.uk/sexualandrelationshipa-340.asp
